In 2017, America was divided. Social media was supposed to be connecting us, but it was actually tearing us further apart — many people were only seeing content from like-minded individuals in their news feeds.
The KIND Foundation exists to foster kinder, more empathetic communities, so we had to step in. We created an app that used an "anti-algorithm" to help people to connect with users outside their bubble.
In the first week alone, we had over 130 million earned media impressions, gaining lots of headlines in the process.
